A deposit from $400 to $800 is required within 7 days to confirm the booking. Final payment 6 weeks prior to departure and 8 weeks in advance over Christmas, January and Easter.

A cash security bond from $400 to $800 is applicable on boarding and is refunded by mail within 7 days by cheque if boat is returned on time, good order and condition. Any damage, loss or extra cleaning will be charged for at cost and deducted from bond. All fuel used will be paid for by the hirer at completion of hire.

The number of persons hiring a houseboat must not exceed the number of surveyed berths or exceed the numbers confirmed on booking sheet.

Any person driving a houseboat must be over the age of 18 years and hold either a current drivers or boat licence. Instruction on driving and handling the boat will be given before departure. Houseboats must not be driven at night and all marine and harbours regulations must be abided by.

Under no circumstances are firearms, chainsaws, axes, trailbikes, animals and candles allowed.

Smoking restrictions apply to the inside of the houseboats.

No all male/female crews unless pre-arranged with Magnum Houseboats.

Magnum Houseboats reserve the right to refuse permission to board or remove crew from a boat at their discretion.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations notified more thant 90 days prior to departure will be entitled to a full refund of monies paid less $75.00 cancellation fee.

Cancellation notified less than 90 days and more than 45 days prior to departure will forfeit all monies paid unless the houseboat can be re-booked for its full value, in which case, all monies paid will be refunded less $125.00 cancellation fee.

Cancellations notified less than 45 days prior to departure forfeit all monies unless the houseboat can be re-booked for its full value, in which case, all monies paid will be refunded less $175.00 cancellation fee.
